Attorney Virginia Dill McCarty before the trial. Cline then testified against Edwards and Kendall, who were convicted and sentenced to prison. In Indianapolis, Mrs. McCarty said. the indictment of the Clines on tax charges confirmed her statement dur-: ing the Edwards-Kendall trial that no deal had been made with Cline for his testimony.
"Certainly his tax problems all came out at the Edwards trial," she. said. "It was used by the defense on the cross examination of Cline. There was a question of whether he made a deal. We said he didn't, and I this proves it." Teresa Gordon, 1435 Garfield Bertha Parker, Peabody Memorial Home, North Manchester.
